Consortium may be defined as a local agglomeration of the enterprises including both small & medium enterprises which are producing as well as selling a range of related and complementary software services. The consortium will have about 300 companies ranging from an average of USD 5 Million to USD 100 Million.
The SMEC promotes sustainable development of small and medium enterprises. The SMEC plans to build a campus that would have offices of the companies, housing and other facilities for the staff.
The consortium information center would also provide soft-skills and leadership qualities to the students. Entrepreneurs of Software Industry from the various parts of the globe, particularly from the United States of America have grouped together and formed the SMEC.
The SMEC comprises of a large number of companies from the various fields such as BPO, accounting, sales, IT & lots more. The consortium will grow over a period of time and many new companies look forward to join. It will acts as a good source of employment for the both skilled and unskilled labor.
